Halloween Horror Nights X was the first year to bring an original mascot to the event, and it was also the first year to even have a palpable mascot since the Crypt Keeper in 1995. Halloween Horror Nights X was also the first, and last Horror Nights event to feature "haunted attractions" - in which normal Universal Studios attractions were tweaked to become horror-filled adventures with live actors (Jaws and Kongfrontation.)
