Dropping the Crypt Keeper as a mascot, "Halloween Horror Nights VI" followed in the footsteps of the other four years by not having one, and remained this way until Jack the clown debuted in "Halloween Horror Nights X."

Despite the fact that the Crypt Keeper was not the mascot, he was still featured in the event, as he returned this year with an all new house, "Crypt Keeper's Studio Tour of Terror."

Halloween Horror Nights VI was also the first year to see the Festival of the Dead Parade, which quickly became another iconic part of the event - returning annually until "Halloween Horror Nights: Islands of Fear" in 2002.
