|09.25.09| It’s Showtime!

That’s right, ghouls. Our time has come, once again, as the curtains rise and we are ushered into yet another spectacular year of Halloween Horror Nights. Buzz surrounding the event has rapidly grown in the past few weeks and first impressions from the Employee Preview this past Tuesday has been nothing but positive. Before we all depart for this evening’s festivities I want to give my customary wishes to everyone of you guys. To my fellow fans: all the best as you run and scream for mercy. To the scareactors: break a leg, and eat some flesh while you’re at it.

As a reminder, be on the lookout for Grave as he distributes his treat bags tonight and tomorrow. 20 of these bundles of gore will be randomly passed out to those in vault shirts this evening, and another 10 of them tomorrow. If you want to know more specifics, check out his thread on our forums. For those lucky enough to receive one, be sure to thank him for putting such an amazing gesture together three consecutive years in a row.

Over the next day or so we will be seeing the “review” section of the forums coming into existence. I would like to make a quick note that these sections exist solely for reviews – therefore all conversation or discussion of the houses and scarezones are to remain in the “discussion” threads. We’ll be keeping an eye out for any posts that do not contain reviews, so don’t be offended if any off-topic rants mysteriously disappear.

On that note, I must creak open the coffin door and begin making my way to the Universal Palace Theater.

Season’s screamings.

|09.19.09| Grave’s Treats: The Concession Stand

For the past few years, HHNvault member “Grave Night” has taken the liberty to create and pass out treat bags to fellow HHNvault members during Halloween Horror Nights. After reading about this great and genuine act of kindness, Grave and the staff here at HHNvault have collaborated to bring you Grave’s Treats 3! On September 25th and 26th, Grave will be prowling the streets of Halloween Horror Nights passing out his treat bags to anyone wearing an HHNvault t-shirt. Amongst the usual goodies, Grave’s bags will contain two special HHNvault items – our limited edition 5thAnniversary button, and an even more limited edition HHNvault branded shot glass! Only 45 of these shot glasses were created, and only 30 of them will be distributed – so wear your vault shirts and be on the lookout opening weekend, you never know where you’ll find a trick or a treat.

HHNvault takes a look into Halloween Horror Nights: Carnival of Carnage for The Thing - Assimilation. We also take a step back in time to look at the original concept for the house when it was presented for Islands of Fear in 2002.
